Located in one of the earliest settled areas in the bucolic area of Tewksbury (1756), is Stone Croft Farm, Circa 1827. Stone Croft was originally a distillery and home to Apple Brandy made from the neighboring apple orchard until Whiskey was made during the First World War in 1917 when the distillery was deemed illegal and had to be shutdown. Prior to the shutdown, William H Fleming was the owner and operator of the old distillery. Then, his son, Phillip, took over. The apple cider was distilled in the wood-fired, copper stills embedded in the brickwork which is still visible in the original section of the home! Today, Stone Croft Farm is a small horse farm with incredible charm on one of the most scenic roads in the entire township. An enchanting gated drive takes you past the horse pastures and the barn as you make your way up to the main house. The current owners have been wonderful curators of Stone Croft and have done numerous upgrades (upgrade list in document section). The original section of the house is stone on all four sides and accessed through dutch doors with the original hardware and window. This section of the house consists of a beautiful updated powder room, fabulous family room with original fireplace, a home office with tons of built-ins and plenty of room for THREE desks!
