The setting is private and peaceful, with a lovely backyard, which includes a gazebo perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing. Your equine friends will enjoy the accommodations as much as you will! The local area offers the San Isabel National Forest for hiking, riding, hunting, camping, and even some snowmobiling. The forest is a short drive through Colorado City to reach the National Forest. Also, Lake Pueblo State Park is located about 30 minutes northwest of the property. The lake offers 60 miles of shoreline and more than 10,000 acres of land for hiking, biking, camping, and riding.
- This charming horse haven includes a custom 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with views of Greenhorn Mountain and the Hatchet Ranch Bluffs. The home offers single-level living at its finest, including vaulted ceilings, granite countertops, hickory soft-close kitchen cabinets, numerous storage closets, central air, and stainless steel appliances. The Bosch dishwasher is brand new. The two-car attached garage is large enough to fit a full-sized pickup.
- Zoe’s Ranch is situated on the western side of a former 21,000-acre Hatchet Ranch, which was homesteaded in the mid-1800s. Stage coaches and the pony express made their way across the ranch, passing through the Muddy Creek Valley. The 40 acre track has privately maintained Muddy Creek road access just off the I-25 frontage road.
Horse Facility Features
- Walking outside the well-appointed home, you will discover the methodically planned fencing system. The property has been divided into numerous pastures for rotational grazing of the well-sodded grass paddocks. There are three large Cleary buildings on the ranch. The 48'x'30' shop has a concrete floor and has been used for equipment storage and repair. The two horse barns, measuring 64'x48’ and 72'x48', offer large horse stalls and spacious runs. The stalls are adjustable, so you can set them up to meet your specific needs. There are currently seven horse stalls, but they can easily be reconfigured into ten stalls with their own exterior doors. There is also dedicated space for hay storage, feed rooms, and tack rooms within the barns. The corral system is set up to move animals easily from barn to barn or to the round pen and arena. This pen system would work for other species and can easily be adjusted.
