Horse Facility Features

  • Both arenas were professionally installed and they used a laser level and motorized tamper with a base rock of 2”, a secondary base layer and then an angular sand top layer. The outdoor never ponds and drains exceptionally well. It’s probably one of the nicest outdoor arenas in the area.
  • The outdoor arena was built in multiple 6” layers starting with 3” to 1.5” to ¾ traffic bond and screenings covered with they believe 2.5” of bedding sand for less dust. The indoor arena again was similar but didn’t go as deep since drainage wasn’t an issue indoors they went with 1.5” base 6” deep, then ¾ TB and Screenings 6” followed by the bedding sand 2-3”.
